Each chapter is different, but sisters in Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta and Kappa Delta participate in all kinds of opportunities from intramural and varsity athletics to performance groups to writing for campus publications and much more! On top of that, they host events to raise money for local charities and volunteer at a wide variety of local organizations. If you get involved in a leadership role, you'll basically be an officer on the board of a small corporation.
To see if Greek Life at Brown is a fit for you, come to our recruitment events. You'll meet lots of new people—including your potential sorority sisters and lifelong friends.

Testimonials
"Having such a strong foundation of unconditional female support. After having been an athlete for my entire life, I was very accustomed to my friendships being somewhat conditional-- with the stipulation being that I remained both on the team and good at the sport. Though I adore all of my teammates, joining Delta Gamma empowered me to view myself more holistically as a person, and it helped me to see a future beyond college athletics. Many of the traits and mannerisms that I currently love about myself are things that my sisters either brought out in me or that I consciously implemented in my behavior because I admired one of my sisters doing it. This is an incredible group of women, and I am so humbled by their allowing me to have led them as President this last year.” - Molly Leubner
"My favorite thing about being in Delta Gamma is getting to be a part of a thriving community of hardworking, unique, and truly kind-hearted women who continually uplift and inspire one another. Through Delta Gamma, I have found meaningful friendships with girls my own age and valuable mentorship from upperclassmen who have guided me through the highs and lows we all experience in college. Female community has always been incredibly important to me, and I am so thankful that Delta Gamma helped me find that space at Brown; it felt like the missing puzzle piece that made my life complete. ” - Aditi Bhattacharjya
"I joined a sorority because I was looking for a community of girls on campus who shared my values. I also love that we have philanthropy embedded in our sorority. In high school, I loved volunteering and giving back to my community, and now being a part of a sorority I get to give back to my new community in Providence alongside some of my best friends. Throughout rush, I was also able to meet amazing girls from different parts of the world and unique areas of study, who I’m still friends with to this day. Overall, if you’re a first-year who isn’t sure about rushing, I definitely recommend trying it because it’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and learn more about sisterhood!" - Melissa Bermudez
